Federal Grant Awarded for Bridge Project in Muskingum County

The Ohio Department of Transportation and Muskingum County have been awarded a grant of more than a half million dollars for a bridge replacement project.

Congressman Bill Johnson announced Wednesday that the $557,600 grant from the Federal Highway Administration will be used to replace the bridge on County Road 7/Cannelville Road.

Johnson said the money will be used to fix the problematic bridge and make the area more accessible for residents and travelers.

He said its a worthwhile project that he is glad to support.
