Festival of Trees and Miracle on Main Street

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- The Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce is hosting their annual Festival of Trees and Miracle on Main Street this week.

November 27th is set up day for the Festival of Trees. The festival will get underway on Wednesday from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. The live auction will be on Friday from 9:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. There are over 200 entries in this year’s event, which raises around 40 thousand dollars each year.

“The money is used to help us run our organization and we’ve been in business since 1905. We’re in business for businesses. So we’re a membership organization and we help local businesses and we do all kinds of things from marketing training, discount programs on workers comp. Many groups like that to help businesses do better,” said President Dana Matz.

Miracle on Main Street is also Wednesday. Holiday tours are available from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M and the Miracle on Main Street Lighting Ceremony begins at 6:30 P.M. in front of the Courthouse.

“So from 6:30 until about 7:15 we’ll have choirs singing, we’ll have bands playing, we’ll flip the switch, light up the Courthouse, and there’ll be an arrival of Santa Clause on a vintage firetruck,” said Matz.
