Fieldhouse hosts dog show

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Hundreds of dogs stopped through Zanesville today.

The Parkersburg Obedience Training Club hosted a dog agility show this afternoon at the Fieldhouse. President of the club, Glen Rawsky says the dogs had quite the spread of courses to get through.

“There’s one that’s called standard which has jumps, tunnels plus things like a teeter-totter and like a dog walk which is kinda like a balance beam for the dogs. An A frame which is like a tall wall they climb over and then they do another course in the back that’s called jumpers with weaves and there is a third course they are going to run here at the end of the day called time to beat which is a fast, fun type of course.”

Rawsky noted that the show draws people from all around.

“We have exhibitors come from all over the region. Pennsylvania, Northern Ohio, Western Ohio, we even draw some occasionally from farther away.”

The show may be a competition but at the end of the day Rawsky said it’s all for the fun of the dogs and their owners.
