Fill the Boot continues

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Zanesville firefighters were out again collecting donations.
After having to cancel the second day of the Fill the Boot campaign last weekend because of rain, the Zanesville firefighters braved today’s heat to continue collecting money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Firefighter Chad Brock said that as of early this afternoon they had seen lots of people stopping to donate.
“It seems like a really good turn out,” said Brock. “A lot of people stopping, donating, as well as a lot of helping hands today. With it being a Friday hopefully a little busier, we’re able to meet that goal this year.”
Brock said that after last Friday’s event they had already raised close to their goal around and that they are hoping to hit the $9,000 mark by the end of today. If you would like to donate but didn’t have a chance to stop by the intersection of Zane and Underwood streets today, you can still donate through their Facebook page.
