Below are the game recaps of the three highlighted games:

Game #1: John Glenn Muskies at Philo Electrics

Our first game of the night takes us to The Power Plant where the Philo Electrics host the John Glenn Muskies.

It was the Muskies making three-pointers early on that helped them gain a lead. But, Philo stayed in it thanks to their interior presence.

John Glenn used their size to make layups. Jaxson Radcliffe responded with a three-pointer off the glass to keep things interesting.

The Muskies jumped out in front thanks to a layup and three-ball by Stefan Israel. Electrics responded with a couple contested makes by Carter McCutcheon.

John Glenn’s Nathan Walker had one of the biggest plays of the half, stealing the ball from Philo and hitting a three-pointer in transition.

The Muskies went on the road and won this one 62-48.

Game #2: Granville Blue Aces at Zanesville Blue Devils

From beginning to end the Zanesville Lady Blue Devils girls basketball team was playing catch up.

Slicing thin margins at first that quickly turned into double-digit deficits. Granville defeated Zanesville Friday night, 76-54.

It was a monumental night for Granville junior star Ella Wigal, who surpassed 1,000 points in her career, and was a three point and driving machine scoring the basketball all night for the Blue Aces, as she finished with 30 points.

Jersey Draughn had 17 points and Kandrea Sowers tallied 15 points to lead the Lady Blue Devils on the night. Zanesville drops their second game of the season and will play host to Heath, Tuesday, December, 15th at 7:30pm. Granville advances to 7-0. The Blue Aces host Watkins Memorial Friday, December, 17th at 7:15pm.

Game #3: Fisher Catholic Irish at Bishop Rosecrans Irish

Our last game of the night takes us to Bishop Rosecrans where the Bishops hosted the Fisher Catholic Irish.

The Bishops took their lead into the fourth quarter, but the Irish looked to win this one in dramatic fashion.

Chase Springer made a couple big shots for Fisher Catholic, who started to cut into the lead.

The Irish made a few defensive stops and used their size to score in the pant. Fisher Catholic looking to make a comeback run at this point.

Weston Hartman ended up making a big-time play for the home team with only a couple minutes left, blocking Fisher Catholic’s Hyde O’Reilly at the rim.

Bishop Rosecrans put the icing on the cake with this one thanks to Danny Bernath, who made a tough layup in crunch time.

The Bishops held off Fisher Catholic’s comeback hopes and won this game 54-39. Grady Labishek and Weston Hartman combined for 39 points in the Bishop Rosecrans win.
