Fire Burns New Lexington Home

A fire heavily damages a home in New Lexington Thursday afternoon.  It happened to a house on the corner of Pleasant and Water Streets.  New Lexington Fire Officials say a passerby noticed the structure on fire and alerted two people inside who were able to escape safely.  The back of the two story home was destroyed. The State Fire Marshall’s Office has been called in to help investigate where the fire started and its cause.
