Fire Claims Coshocton Co. Man
A fatal fire remains under investigation in Coshocton County.
The sheriff’s office said Thursday they received a 911 call about a mobile home fire on County Road 106 in Linton Township.
When fire crews arrived the home was fully engulfed. Upon investigation it was found that a male subject was beneath the home attempting to thaw frozen lines when the fire started. The man became trapped under the mobile home and died as a result of the fire.
The victim’s name is being withheld at this time pending notification of family members.
Assisting at the scene was the West Lafayette Fire Department, Bakersville Fire Department, Conesville Fire Department, Newcomerstown Fire Department, Coshocton County EMS, the Ohio State Fire Marshal’s Office and the Coshocton County Coroner’s Office.
