First Winter Weather = Rash Of Accidents
The first taste of winter was just like all the ones in the past…a rash of accidents all across Southeastern Ohio. The Zanesville and Cambridge Posts of the Highway Patrol are reporting Thursday morning that there were no serious injuries in any of the "several" accidents that occured Wednesday evening and early Thursday morning. One dispatcher says most of the accidents involved "fender-bender" crashes or sliding off the roadway. Troopers are still urging drivers to take it slow since there are still some slick spots across the region. The Ohio Department of Transportation salt trucks were out in full force Wednesday evening working to treat the slick roadways. Authorities say be very careful crossing bridges and overpasses since they tend to be slicker than the roadway.
