Five Sentenced for Drugs

The Perry County Sheriff’s Office says several of its drug investigations have recently resulted in convictions.

42-year-old Todd Heger of Crooksville was sentenced to three years in prison after pleading guilty in Perry County Common Pleas Court to one count of complicity to illegal assembly or possession of chemicals to manufacture drugs. 21-year-old Justin Heger of Zanesville and 54-year-old Ruthann Dukeman each received a two-year-sentence for the same charge.

The Hegers and Dukeman were arrested on August 20, 2010 at 2549 Jackson Township Road 123 in Junction City. Deputies located an active meth lab at the scene.

Also, in Perry County Common Pleas Court 62-year-old George Waltz Junior of Somerset was sentenced to two years in prison for trafficking in marijuana. On October 6, 2010 deputies searched a home at 10010 Hopewell Township Road 68. Deputies seized 3.5 pounds of marijuana and discovered Waltz had been growing marijuana around northern Perry County.

A Junction City man was sentenced to five years community control for three counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs. 25-year-old Preston Fravel was also ordered to forfeit his car. Fravel was arrested in May 20, 2011 after he sold prescription drugs to a police informant while with a one-year-old child.
