Float The River expands to Zanesville with new water adventure location

ZANESVILLE, OH- A new way to enjoy Ohio’s rivers is making a splash in Zanesville. A company known for tubing and kayak rentals is bringing its popular service south from Cuyahoga Falls.

Float The River officially opened its Zanesville location for the summer. From tube and kayak rentals to raft trips, it’s offering full-service outdoor adventures on both the Muskingum and Licking rivers. The company provides shuttles, waterproof gear, and handles all the setup, making it easy for anyone to hit the water.

“We’re a lot closer to big cities up there, Cleveland is right there, Akron is right beside us, so there is a bigger population but there is less community, what I love about this location is that there is so much community, it’s a smaller area, town, but it’s a lot more tight knit, which I really love,” said Float The River co-owner, TJ Mack.

Their goal is to make river experiences accessible, safe, and environmentally friendly.

“We differentiate from other companies that do this by being environmentally conscious, we take steps to prevent litter from entering the river, like I said earlier, we don’t allow the single use items, also we host multiple river clean ups a year, apply for grants through the ODNR to make sure that we’re making a really big impact,” said Mack.

Trips run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Memorial Day through Labor Day. Float The River will also take part in this year’s Riverfest. For more details or to book a trip, visit floattheriver.net.
