ZANESVILLE, Ohio – After nearly being demolished by an automobile accident, a local florist is now back to full capacity, just in time for Valentines Day.

Ford’s Flowers Owner Brigitta Smith talked about the September 26th accident and overcoming the adversity that came crashing in.

“At the end of September, we were all in here working and we heard a noise, you know outside. And there was a wreck on Maple and Locust and a car drove through the middle of the store. And so yeah, very traumatizing, very scary. We were all inside working when it happened. One of my staff members was actually in the room when the car came through. So we’re very blessed that nobody was hurt,” Smith said.

However the business remained open having to rearrange the way they operated and served the public. They had to really hustle through less than desirable circumstances to fill orders and honor priorly scheduled commitments.

“Yeah, you know yesterday, I think we felt the relief of the efficiency of spreading out. We’ve been so crammed into tight little corners in the back while all of this was getting done. And so it’s just a total night and day difference of how efficient we can work. And mainly, just getting those customers back in here. To see them come through the door and be able to talk to them and show them around. So that is what we’re most excited about for Valentine’s Day, especially,” Smith said.

Now that Ford’s Flowers is back to full capacity, you can place orders online, by calling (740) 453-0378 or by visiting their location on the corner of Maple and Locust Avenues in Zanesville.
