Florence Bernice Powell (September 13, 1925 – April 20, 2015)

Florence Bernice Powell, 89, of Zanesville, died at 5:14 P.M. Monday, April 20, 2015 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born September 13, 1925, in Shinnston,WV, a daughter of the late Harvey John and Margaret Ashcraft Lundell. She was a homemaker, a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, and was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Surviving are her husband, Taylor L. Powell, whom she married July 24, 1948, of the home; two daughters, Carolyn Sue Powell and Sheri Lynn (Dick) Smith, all of Zanesville; two sons, Taylor Lynn Powell II and Steven R. Powell, all of Zanesville; ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; three sisters, Mary F. Fenstermaker of Zanesville, Phyllis E. (Fred) Poland of Columbus and Sandra Sue Humphrey of Zanesville; four brothers, Harvey John (Bonnie Jean) Lundell of Roseville, Jack Lundell of Florida, Donald (Irene) Lundell of Weston, WV and Robert Lundell of Weston, WV.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.

Friends and family may call from 11:00 A.M. till time of service at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 23, 2015, at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE with Rev. Mark Matzke officiating. Entombment will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery, Zanesville, Ohio.
