Foodworks Alliance Celebrates 10 Years
SOUTH ZANESVILLE, OH–Foodworks Alliance marked a major milestone—celebrating 10 years of service in Muskingum County.
The organization held a ceremonial ribbon cutting and open house to commemorate the occasion. Board members and community leaders gathered at the facility to reflect on a decade of growth and impact.
“We are celebrating 10 years of Foodworks Alliance. This organization started in 2015, so we really wanted to welcome the community into the space. A lot of people don’t know that we are here, so we wanted to open our house to the community and celebrate 10 years while we’re at it,” said Foodworks Executive Director Amy Aurore.
Foodworks Alliance supports local food entrepreneurs and small businesses across the region. In recent years, their mission has expanded to include support for women in recovery.
“I’ve only been here for 2 1/2 years. Carol Humphreys, who is the founder of this organization, was really the one that gets all the credit for starting this organization 10 years ago. It has been such a big help to all the small food businesses in Muskingum County and beyond. And now we are helping women in recovery from drugs and alcohol for the last five years as well, so we feel really proud about being able to do that,” Aurore said.
Foodworks has several events planned throughout the year, including their annual Pickle Fest, which returns this July.
