Former County Commissioner Dies

A former Muskingum County Commissioner has died.  81-year-old George Buchanan passed away Tuesday at Riverside Hospital in Columbus.  He served as County Commissioner for two terms.  He also worked as a real estate broker for over 20 years and auctioneer for over 50 years.  He founded Buchanan Auction Services/Real Estate and Buchanan Carpets.  Visitation is Thursday (today) from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 at the Farus Funeral Home in Duncan Falls where funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. on Friday.  Buchanan will be laid to rest in St Paul Cemetery with full military honors.
