Former Muskingum County Jail Administrator Dies

A former Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office Jail Administrator has died.  69-year-old Terry Newman of Zanesville passed away Monday following a brief illness.  Newman began his career with the Sheriff’s Office as a Corrections Officer in 1992, was promoted to Jail Administrator and Financial Officer before retiring after many years of service. Newman was also a pastor for many churches and was recently the Senior Pastor of Wings of Hope Tabernacle.  Friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday December 20th, 2018 at Wings of Hope Tabernacle, 709 Lee Street in Zanesville, and one hour prior to funeral services from 10:00 on Friday.  The funeral will be held 11:00 am Friday at Wings of Hope.  The funeral arrangements are being handled by the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home.
