Former West Muskingum H.S. Teacher Guilty Of Sexual Battery

 A former West Muskingum High School teacher was in court today to answers to charges of sexual battery involving students. Andrew Hoffer appeared before Muskingum County Common Please Judge Kelly Cottrill and plead guilty to two counts of sexual battery involving a former student and a current student at the high school. Hoffer resigned from his teaching position in June. He is being held in the Muskingum County Jail. A pre-sentence investigation was ordered by the Judge.  Hoffer will be classified a Tier III sex offender with registration every 90 days for life.  Bond was set at $100,000 cash, property or surety.
