Former WHIZ Radio Voice Passed Away
ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Former WHIZ radio personality Don Matthews recently passed away at the Mayfair Village Nursing Care Center in Columbus. He was 86-years-old.
Don spent more than 40 years with WHIZ filling many positions before his retirement in 2002.
Calling hours will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, August 1st, at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will be held at 1 O’clock. Services will conclude at St. Paul Cemetery in Zanesville.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Foundation for the Blind or to WOUB Public Media, in honor of Don.
