Former Zanesville Fire Chief Dies

A former Zanesville Fire Chief has died. 82-year-old William Wagner passed away after 33 years of service as fire chief for the City of Zanesville. He retired October 31st, 1986. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Fraternal Order of Police and the Retired Firefighters Association. Calling hours are Friday from 2:00 until 4:00pm and 6:00 until 8:00pm at the Bolin Dierkes Funeral Home in Zanesville. The funeral service will be held Saturday at the First Christian Church on Dresden Road. Wagner will be laid to rest at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
