Foster, Curtis win at MVL cross country championships

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Sheridan junior Anna Foster and John Glenn junior Dylan Curtis won MVL cross country titles Saturday at Foxfire High School.
Foster’s Lady Generals edged Morgan by six points to win the team title. Jordan Penrod and Jozi Brown of the Lady Raiders finished second and third, respectively. Defending champion Mackenzie Davis of Sheridan finished fourth.
Curtis rallied late in the boys race to pass fellow junior Luke Brown of Sheridan. Despite a Muskie finishing atop the podium, the Generals had no issues wrapping up their ninth consecutive boys team title. Five Sheridan runners finished in the top 10 to help SHS edge second-place Tri-Valley by 20 points.
