Four Arrested after Drug Bust
Deputies with the Perry County Sheriff’s Office seized over 36 lbs of marijuana valued at approximately $45,000 Tuesday.
The eradication took place after citizen complaints directed them to 5094 Township Rd. in New Straitsville. Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation spotters observed 15 large marijuana plants growing on the property.
When officers arrived they found several subjects attempting to destroy the plants. They were able to apprehend the suspects and prevent the destruction of evidence.
4 adult males were arrested and transported to the southeast Ohio regional jail on felony drug possession charges. The names are not being released at this time pending formal charges. All could face additional charges once the investigation is complete.
