Four MVL Wrestlers Reach State Quarterfinals

Defending state champion Kade Kowalski earned a third period-pin to advance to the quarterfinals of the 145-lb. weight class at the Schott. Joining the Scottie in the next round are Sheridan Generals Nathaniel Kehn (113), Zach Carpenter (145) and Evan Loughman (285).

Staying alive in the consolation bracket are New Lexington’s Dimitri Williams (160) and Tanner Walker (195) and Zanesville’s Leo Crosby (220).

In total, 11 local wrestlers advanced to the quarterfinals, which precede the next round of the consolation bracket at 10 a.m. on Friday. The semifinals are set to start at 6:30 p.m.
