Frances Jean Lay

Frances Jean Lay, 85 of Zanesville died 3:27 AM Friday, March 10, 2017 at the Beckett House at New Concord.

She was born  August 05, 1931 in Zanesville the daughter of Glenn and  Georgie Waite Daringer.

Jean was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Calvin “Dutch” Lay whom she married June 5, 1960; her four children; Patrick (Tyna) Lay, Michael  (Mary) Lay, Tami (Bill) Mitchell and Karen (Brad) Starkey;                        16 Grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and a sister, Mary (Wayne) McHenry. Jean was preceded in death in addition to her parents by a sister, Betty Daringer and her step-mother, Goldie Daringer.

Friends may call 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on March 14, 2017 at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home, 2318 Maple Ave. where funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 with Paster Cody Updegrave officiating. Burial will conclude at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be American Heart Association.
