Freda “Bobbie” Williamson

Freda “Bobbie” Jean Williamson, age 99, of Frazeysburg, Ohio passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, December 4, 2025. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend whose presence is already deeply missed.
Born August 9, 1926, in Switzer, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Elmer (Hall) Akers. Bobbie loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and lived a life dedicated to serving him and others. She worked as an LPN who retired from Licking Memorial Hospital. Bobbie was a proud mother and grandmother to three generations. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her church family and her friends at the Dresden Senior Center.
She is survived by three daughters, Connie Phillips of Newnan, GA, Jetta (Doug) Jernigan of Smyrna, TN, and Gina Smith of Crooksville, OH; a son, David (Patty) Browning of Newark, OH; eight grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren as well an many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Bobbie is preceded in death by two sisters, Juanita Crum and Eva Rae Back.
Friends and family may visit Tuesday, December 9, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
A celebration of Bobbie’s life will immediately follow visitation, Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at NOON with Pastor Brent Heishman officiating. The family invites all who knew her to attend and share in honoring her memory.
Bobbie will be laid to rest in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
