Friday’s Game of the Week Now Available for Download

Coaches, family and friends can now all access the Friday night game of the week by just the click of a button.

Prior to earlier this summer, fans of local athletes had to purchase DVDs with the game of the week by coming to the station and paying ten dollars. Now whiznews.com has made it possible through Vimeo’s on-demand section to download, stream or save the selected game to any device.

“Well we wanted to give people the opportunity to be able to access that in multiple ways. So what we’re doing now through Vimeo is, they have an on-demand section. So each week after the game of the week airs on Saturday we just simply upload that on Monday or Tuesday, the game of the week from Friday, and that gives people the chance to really see the whole entire game from opening quarter to the very last play of the game” says Communication Manager at WHIZ-TV Sara Shallcross.

Sometimes due to broadcast issues the network can’t air the entire game or maybe family members don’t live in the area to get the channel so this is really a great opportunity for coaches and family members to see these games in their entirety.

“It’s really easy. We tried to make this very easy for people to find and get to so it’s really quick. So, all you have to do is go to whiznews.com right on that home page, on the side bar, there’s a game of the week logo there. Simply click on that. That’s going to take you right to Vimeo where you can find our on-demand section and we already have the first few games of the year up on there” Shallcross later explained.

If interested, downloading these games only costs ten dollars, just go to whiznews.com.
