Secrest Auditorium

A newly founded organization is working to revitalize the Secrest
Auditorium and Music Hall.

Friends of Secrest was formed to help promote and raise funding
for the performance venue that can accommodate more than 1700 people

“Secrest Auditorium and Music Hall here in Zanesville is uniquely positioned in the significant 90-minute entertainment market. 90 minutes refers to how long most people are willing to see a show, visit an attraction or participate in an event. Zanesville’s 90-minute market is populated with over 4.5 million people,” said Andrew LeVeck, Friends of Secrest president.

Some immediate goals of the group are remodeling the lobby,
improving restroom facilities, and making the stage compliant with the
Americans with Disabilities Act.

“The Ohio Lottery wanted to do their Cash Explosion show
here in Zanesville sometime back, but when they asked the question if the stage
was ADA compliant we had to say no. We lost that opportunity. Well we want to
be able to say yes to having shows like that or the Price is Right roadshow
that has been here before,” said LeVeck.
