Friendship Seven Sweet Adelines Singing Valentine

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching, and if you are still undecided on a gift. We might have a solution.

The Friendship Seven Sweet Adelines are taking requests Wednesday and Thursday to sing to your valentine on Friday, February 12th. Not only will your valentine be serenaded by angelic voices but you will also be helping out a good cause too.

“This is actually a fundraiser for Genesis Hospice. We’ve been doing this for many years. 100 percent of the proceeds go to hospice,” said The Friendship Seven Sweet Adelines President Esther Nesslroad.

Nesslroad said she enjoys delivering singing valentines and exposing the community to a barbershop harmony.

“Barbershop does not have any instrumental accompaniment. It’s strictly voices. You have to get the right pitches in order to produce the harmony you need in barbershop,” said Nesslroad.
