ZANESVILLE, Ohio-Â When you think of artist tools. One of the first things that comes to mind is a paint brush. What might not come to mind is a hair brush.
But that’s exactly what the artists at Fringe The Salon Where Art Meets Hair use.
“We feel that art is a huge part of our work,” said Fringe Salon Owner Debbie Beckert. “We are artists. We use different kinds of brushes of course then what other artist use. We have color, we take it out of a bowl. We crave with razors and our scissors. We feel like with our business and having the art surrounding us is just inspirational.”
These artists not only find inspiration from their clients but there is art work all along the walls at Fringe.
“It’s inspiring. It’s creative. It’s a force that helps us do what we do. Our customers really enjoy it. And I feel like it’s kind of a community service in some ways, because we have a lot of people through our doors every month and they might not have been on the art walks.” said Beckert.
Fringe is celebrating its 2nd anniversary so stop by during the art walk this Friday to view more art on display. Fringe is located at 235 Market Street.
