Fyda Freightliner Moves to the Y-City
A large crowd showed up for the ribbon-cutting ceremony at Fyda Freightliner Western Star Friday.
The family-owned company, located off of East Pike, was welcomed by city and county leaders, as well as members of the Chamber of Commerce. President and CEO of Fyda Freightliner, Tim Fyda, said the doors open on Monday may 2nd with 25 workers and they’re looking to fill up to 35 local positions.
“We are are looking for qualified, dedicated people that want a career. We want people that want a career and that’s what we want to offer to them. As well as competitive pay and benefits so we will grow from 25,” said Fyda.
Fyda said the business community has been very supportive since day one and has made them feel welcome to the community.
“We have been welcomed by the Zanesville and Muskingum County Community like I’ve never seen before. This is our 6th location, we’re located in Pennsylvania, Ohio and next year Kentucky. But, this community has welcomed us like none other,” said Fyda.
