Gary John Barbour (February 3, 1950 – February 11, 2012)

ROSEVILLE
Gary John Barbour, 62 entered eternal rest on Saturday February 11, 2012 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House in Zanesville after a long battle with cancer.
He was born on February 3, 1950 in John Ben, West Virginia to Putnam John and Thelma Louise Kiblinger Barbour.
Gary was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, and dear friend to many. He enriched many lives and will be forever be in our hearts. He was a graduate of Roseville High School. He served in The United States Army from 1969 to 1971. He was a member of the United States Army National Guard from 1982 to 2002. He was employed at Line Material, Ferro Corporation/Cerco and was Union Steward Local 207A. He was a lifetime member of The American Legion Post 71 where he served for four years as commander and the Post Color Guard. He was also a past member of the Board of Directors of the Roseville Community Center. Gary loved the beach, hunting, fishing, and spending quality time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Jane Cable Barbour, whom he married November 19, 1983 of the home, daughters: Shandy (Jason) Mizer of West Lafayette and Nicole (James) Bookless of Crooksville, a son Luke Steed of Roseville. Grandchildren: Dominic Barbour, Hannah Ihinger, Hunter Mizer, Madison Bookless, and J.J. Bookless. Sisters: Rose (Don) Cottrell, Phyllis Miller, and Linda Nykile, a brother Jim (Mary) Barbour all of Roseville, step-mother Julia Kipps Barbour, step sisters: Beverly Atwood and Peggy Keaton, a step brother Charles (Beulah) Kipps all of Coal City, West Virginia. Special cousins: Rodney and Rusty. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and many special friends.

Calling hours will be 2-4 and 6-8 pm on Tuesday February 14 at THE ROSEVILLE CHAPEL OF THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 33 NORTH MAIN STREET, ROSEVILLE. Funeral Service will be held at 1pm on Wednesday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 104 N. Main Street Roseville with Pastor Alex Brown and John Dean Cottrell officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery with full military honors by Forest Mumford Post 71 and the US Army National Guard.
