Gary McNerney

Gary E. McNerney, 72, passed away on October 5, 2026. He was born on September 6, 1954.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents, George and Glenna McNerney; and his mother-in-law, Esther Jewell.

He is survived by his loving wife, Charlene Y. McNerney; children, Holly (Sandro) Cruz, Jason McNerney, Michael Ray (Abby) Colborn, Chad (Michelle) Colborn, Jeremy (Misty) McNerney, John Fleece, Jessica (Rob) Messer, and Ashley (Michael) Harris; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and bonus grandchildren; siblings, Genette (Mickey) Spragg, Gina (Howdy) Milstead, Gloria (Michael) Vandenbark, and George (Anna) McNerney; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and other family members.

Gary also leaves behind his beloved fur babies, Odie, Rubble, JoJo, Carmela, Puss Puss, Sassyann, and Ebb.

Gary never knew a stranger. He was a true jack of all trades who enjoyed spending time with his family and had a deep love and care for those around him. He enjoyed woodworking, loved animals, and found great enjoyment in hunting and fishing. Above all, Gary was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 8, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Burrell Funeral Services, with funeral services beginning at 1:30 p.m. Cremation will follow.
