Gas Leak in Crooksville Area Closes State Route 93

A gas leak in the Crooksville area closed State Route 93 Friday evening.

According to scanner traffic there were at least two leaks reportedly from the same line at Watt Hill Road. Columbia Gas as well as Roseville, Crooksville, New Lexington, South Zanesville, and Zanesville Fire Departments responded to the leak but as they worked to assess and contain the situation they weren’t available for comment.

The leak occured just over a month after a gas leak in the same location lead to an evacuation of the Crooksville community. We’ll bring you more details as they become available.
