George Coler

George Coler, age 79, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2026. He was born in Stockport, Washington County, Ohio on January 18, 1947 to Virgil and Margaret Coler.
George dedicated his professional life to protecting and serving his community, ultimately enjoying a well-earned retirement as a proud Ohio State Trooper. His commitment to public service was matched only by his deep love for music. An avid musician, George brought joy to many as a member of the “Get Along Gang” and “Country Sunrise Special”, sharing his passion, talent, and community spirit wherever they played.
George is survived by his “Dear Lady” of 36 years, Glenna Hatcher, daughter Sharon Jaffee (Andy), son David Coler (Jana), one grandson, Glenna’s family, many nieces and nephews, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Carl, Jim, and Bill Coler.
Visitation will be at Bundy-Law Funeral Home on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 4pm to 7pm. His funeral service will be on Saturday at 11am also at Bundy-Law. Burial will follow in Northwood Cemetery. George’s online guest book may be viewed and signed at www.bundy-lawfuneralhome.com.
