George “Rob” Haines

George “Rob” Robert Haines, 68, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Thursday afternoon, April 4, 2024 in Zanesville, Ohio.
Born January 31, 1956 in Columbus, Ohio, he was a son of the late George C. and Wanda V. (Barger) Haines and a 1974 graduate of Tri-Valley High School. Rob earned his bachelor’s degree in education at Ohio University and spent many years substitute teaching for various schools in the area. He was a past member of the Frazeysburg Volunteer Fire Department and Frazeysburg Village Counsil. Rob was a Senior DeMolay and Advisor to the Frazeysburg Chapter of DeMolay, Past High Priest of Dresden Chapter of Royal Arch Masons, Past Thrice Illustrious Master of Zanesville Council of Royal and Select Masters, Past Eminent Commander of Cyrene Commandery of Knights Templar, and a Knight of the York Cross of Honor. He was also the bassist and vocalist for the Sanantone Band.
Surviving is his sister, Nancy Haines of Campobello, South Carolina.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Daniel Haines.
Rob’s remains will be buried with his parents in Frazeysburg Cemetery.
