Gerald Wagner

Gerald Wagner, 86, of New Concord, formerly of Adamsville, Ohio, died Sunday morning, April 20, 2025, at the Beckett House, New Concord, Ohio.
Born July 12, 1938, in Wheelersburg, Ohio, he was a son of the late Walter and Julia (Rolfe) Wagner and a graduate of Wheelersburg High School. Gerald served in the Army National guard, owned and operated a farm near Adamsville for 54 years and retired from Hupp-Stiverson Concrete after 27 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing. Gerald enjoyed sports and watching his favorite teams on TV (especially the Cincinnati Reds and Cleveland Browns).
Surviving are his three children, Cheryl (Dr. Eduardo) Jorge, Brian Wagner, and Suzanne (Jim) Davis; three grandchildren, Brittany Lyons, Nicholas, Lyons, and Delaney Davis; four step-grandchildren, Jennifer Dinsmore, Deborah Jorge, Eddie Jorge and Jim Jorge; and great grandchild, Grayson Lyons.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Iris Wagner of nearly 57 years, whom he married on August 7, 1961, and she died July 26, 2018; a brother, Ervin Wagner and a sister, Marijo Wagner Pyles.
Private family services will be held.
Gerald will be laid to rest next to his wife, Iris, at Franklin Cemetery, near Coshocton, Ohio.
