Put on pajamas and grab your blankets, we’re going to the library

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Put on your favorite pajamas and grab your blanket because the it’s time to go to your local library.

The Muskingum County Library System (MCLS) is hosting a series of events called Cozy Story Times. The family event invites you to get cozy at various library locations across the county to read stories and enjoy other cozy activities. These events help fill the void while taking a break from their traditional Story Time schedule.

“This story time will be a little bit different than our normal story times, because it is a cozy story time. So, kids can embody that by wearing their pajamas or bringing their stuffed animals or bringing their blankets or pillows. But, it will really be a different feeling. It’ll be bringing the warmth to what could be a cool time depending on how temperatures go. So, it will be kind of a fun experience, a good way to get your toes into story time if you’ve never tried it to,” said Corazon Britton, a youth services librarian for MCLS

Cozy Story Time events will be happening across the county at various locations which is a very important aspect of library programming according to Britton.

“So we try to reach all areas of our service area throughout the year but we really want to make those connections while kids are on break, while their on fall break and winter break. And we just want to make sure that they know that they are important to us, wherever they may be in the county,” Britton said.
