Gladys Brandom

Gladys “Marlene” Brandom, 86 of Zanesville, passed away January 4, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born on May 27,1937, in Zanesville, Ohio, daughter of the late Gerald Wickham and Gladys Wickham. Marlene worked at the Downtown Lounge, Times Recorder, and worked at SB’s for many years where she retired. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandkids. She loved cooking, baking, knitting, and reading. In her spare time, she loved to go to Bingo and to go dancing. Marlene loved listening to her favorite, Elvis Presley.
She is survived by her 6 children: Phyllis Peck, Robert (Krista) Brandom, Patricia (Thomas) Gray, Polly (Jeff) Curry, Ronald (Lisa) Brandom, and Penny Hitchcock; son-in-law, Gary Passwaters; 4 sisters: Shirley Jenkins, Linda (Albert) Roberts, Marilyn (Mike) Steve, Kim (John) Bintz; 15 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins; special friends, Randy Brown and Gloria Smith.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Clarence Wayne Brandom; daughter, Pamela (Stevens) Passwaters; sister, Carolyn McElfresh; nephew, Scottie Bintz; sons-in-laws, Jeff Stevens, David Hitchcock, Don Peck; brothers-in-laws, Ernie Jenkins, Mike Zemba; 2 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
Calling hours will be held on January 9, 2024, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will be held at 1:00 PM with Rev. Darren Tolbert officiating. Burial will follow services at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
