Glenn Mitchell

Glenn Woodrow Mitchell, age 91, of Warsaw, Ohio died Tuesday afternoon, April 29, 2025.
Born October 13, 1933, he was a son of the late June Edward and Rosa Belle (Adams) Mitchell. Glenn was a self-taught machinist at Rockwell International of Newark, Ohio where he retired in 1988. He was an avid amateur ham radio enthusiast and a member of the Coshocton County Amateur Ham Radio Club. He participated as a severe weather spotter through the club for the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Department. In addition to his ham radio, Glenn enjoyed camping, golfing, fishing, hunting, and bowling. What he loved and enjoyed most were his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Surviving is his son, Wayne (Cindy) Mitchell of Adams Mills; and three daughters, Judy Carpenter of Warsaw, Carla Morrison of Newark, and Rebecca (Mike Williams) Neff of Dresden; eleven grandchildren, Brad (Stacey) Carpenter, Brian (Amy) Carpenter, Aaron (Danielle) Jadwin, Jordan (Bailey) Neff, Sara (Steve) Landes, Ashley Mitchell, William Weissert, Jennifer (Fred) Winters, Adam (Vicky) Morrison, Jennifer (Mike) Lightle, and Justin (Jocelyn) Morrison; twenty-two great grandchildren and one baby boy on the way; Verlin Mitchell of Frazeysburg, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Evelyn Grace (Painter) Mitchell whom he married March 17, 1956, and died December 21, 2000; two sisters Faye McCune, and Velva Potts; brother-in-law Dick McCune and sister-in-law, Linda Mitchell.
Keeping with Glenn’s wishes, there will be a private graveside service. His remains will be buried with his wife, Evelyn, in Hanover Cemetery.
