Goodwill asks for donations

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Spring Cleaning season is happening now and Goodwill on Maple Avenue is asking for donations.

Goodwill’s Lead, Kelsey Croy claimed that winter months Goodwill donations decline and now they are in need of clothes, furniture, and above all house hold items.

“They can just pull through the drive thru,” Croy explained. “We have plenty of people on the dock to help unload. If they want a receipt afterwords our workers will fill out a receipt form.”

Store Manager Janelle Shaffer discussed how this helps their mission of providing skill development and job opportunities for people with barriers to employment.

“Just the more donations that we can get into our store and the customers come into purchase the items that gives us the revenue to provide these training programs for people with barriers to employment,” said Shaffer.

Goodwill has extended their hours for Monday through Friday from 10:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. through April 30, 2018. The donation dock closes at 6:30 P.M. on weekday evenings.
