COLUMBUS, OH – On a weekend where he will be the center of attention at Great American Ballpark, longtime radio voice of the Cincinnati Reds, Marty Brennaman, will have his own day as well.

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and Lt. Governor Jim Tressel issued a proclamation to declare Saturday, September 6th of 2025 as ‘Marty Brennaman Day” in Ohio.

“It was Marty’s voice that graphically described for us some of the greatest moments in Reds history” says DeWine.

“I was pleased to honor him and his outstanding career with this proclamation.”

A 2021 Reds Hall of Fame inductee, Brennaman’s voice has been carried through the airways since the first pitch of his Cincinnati career back in 1974.

The Reds are honoring Brennaman before the Reds host the New York Mets on Saturday evening at Great American Ball Park.
