Columbus, OH – Ohio Governor Mike DeWine requested a presidential disaster declaration from President Joe Biden for eight Ohio counties, including Muskingum. The counties were impacted by severe storms, flooding and tornadoes in April 1-4.

In a letter to the White House Governor DeWine stated that the Ohio EMA calculated total damage to $33.8m above the $21.7m federal threshold for public disaster assistance in Ohio.
