Grant To Help Coshocton Medical Services

U.S Senator Sherrod Brown says just over $750,000 is headed to our area to help develop critical health care services.  The funds are going to the Muskingum Valley Health Centers so a medical facility can be established in Coshocton County.  Executive Assistant Roxanne Brandt says the Center applied for the competitive funding in April through the United States Department of Health and Human Services.  She says the grant is awarded to organizations that serve designated medially underserved populations to reduce health disparities. The Center –which will be open by March of next year — projects it will serve over 3700 patients in 2014.  The Muskingum Valley Health Centers already operates a facility in Muskingum County and another in Morgan County.
