Gus Macker Equipment Arrives

The baskets are here!

All 22 units, which will equate to about 44 courts, arrived this morning for this weekend’s Gus Macker 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament in downtown Zanesville.

"We still store baskets down here until we take them out on Friday, and we’ll tape the streets tomorrow night too, weather permitting, " says Gus Macker Logistics Chairman, Mike Bryan.

The baskets and courts will be put together Wednesday, and they will eventually make their way to the streets late Friday night.

"It’s a tough job. I always tell the volunteers we certainly couldn’t do it without them. It’s a sweaty jobs, and it’s a lot of heavy lifting…that sort of thing…but a lot of dedicated people make this thing work, " says Bryan.

About 500 teams will be participating this Saturday and Sunday, which Bryan says is a little down from last year.
