H.S. Scoreboard: Lady Muskies Advance to Districts

Two days after Dylan Van Fossen and the John Glenn boys golf team qualified for districts, it was the girls’ turn at River Greens Golf Course.

Led by Lexi Bubenchik’s 81, the Lady Muskies nabbed the 5th and final qualifying spot with a team score of 419, which was three strokes better than Strasburg. The Garaway Lady Pirates captured the title with a combined score of 354.

Individually, Bubenchik’s score was superb. She tied fellow MVL golfer Makyla Lewellen for second place. Because Lewellen’s score was the best among individuals on non-qualifying teams, she will be joining the Lady Muskies back at River Greens next Wednesday for district play.
