Head-On Crash on East Pike Sends Four to Hospital

A two vehicle accident on the East Pike sends four people to the hospital.
 

It happened around 12:15 Tuesday afternoon near Perry Elementary School.
 

State Highway Patrol Trooper Mike Forshey say 28-year-old  Keith Roe of  Zanesville was driving his Nissan Pathfinder on the East Pike when he pulled over to the right side of the roadway to avoid colliding with an oncoming vehicle.
 

Forshey says a Ford Explorer driven by 58-year-old Paul Elliott of New Concord went left of center and struck Roe’s vehicle head-on.
 

Roe’s wife Lindsay and 2-year-old son were both passengers in the vehicle.
 

They were all taken to Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital.

Lindsay Roe remains hospitalized. Her condition isn’t known at this time.
 

Elliot was also taken to Good Samaritan Hospital and was admitted to the critical care unit.
 

The accident remains under investigation.
