Heavy Wet Snow And Ice

The big ice and snow storm made for a difficult commute for those who still went to work on Wednesday.  The city of Zanesville, Muskingum County and the Ohio Department of transportation had their hands full with the heavy wet snow and ice.  But crews were able to make passable most main roads.  Mayor Jeff Tilton says every available employee is in snow plows working on city streets.  But he says it possible side streets may not be cleared until tomorrow.  But the bigger issue is tonight’s cold temps and a re-freeze which could make all area roads dangerously slick for the Thursday morning commute.
