High Scoring Game Favors West Muskingum

A low scoring first quarter paved the way for a high scoring thriller, especially in the third and fourth quarters for both the West Muskingum Lady Tornados and Zanesville Blue Devils. West Muskingum would edge Zanesville 47-40. Kandrea Sowers was a force all night long for Jeff Moore’s Panthers, while junior power forward Mykell Bowen and Caitlyn Drake paced the scoring primarily for West Muskingum. The Lady Tornados lead by three at halftime, 20-17.

West Muskingum was able to develop their largest lead of both the third and fourth quarters when they harbored A 35-30 lead midway through the third. Coming down to the wire in the fourth, West Muskingum lead 41-39, before expanding the lead to 47-40 for the final score. Zanesville falls to 1-1 on the season, and will face Northridge Tuesday, November, 30th at home.
