Historic Plane in Zanesville
An historic aircraft is coming to Zanesville at the end of September
A 1928 Ford Tri-Motor will fly into the Zanesville municipal Airport Wednesday, September 23. It’s all part of the third annual fly-in and drive-in at the airport. Tour coordinator, Anthony Morozowsky said the tri-motor is a neat thing to see for aviation enthusiasts.
“There’s only five of them left in the United States, and this thing has been totally restored just like it was brand new,” he said. “It’s just a real treat to have people go back in time to how it was 1:53
While the plane is in town, people will get the chance to take a ride in it. Morozowsky said the Experimental Aircraft Vintage Chapter 22 has spent two years trying to get the Tri-Motor come to the show. He believed that the plane will grow the event which already draws people in from across the country.
“We have a lady that was originally born here and raised here in Zanesville,” Morozowsky said. “She lives down in Tennessee, and she comes here every year, visits her family, kind of a weekend event for her family to come here.”
Adults can take a ride on the Tri-Motor for $70 and kids can for $50. People can ride on the plane Thursday through Sunday.
