Holiday Wrap Party
Good city Creatives Community Development Corporation had it’s Holiday Wrap party over the weekend.
Good city Creatives is an art organization. Cultivating hope and good futures through providing creative and educational opportunities that help develop creative minds. The Holiday wrap party was an event where you could bring your presents to get gift wrapped for low prices. With all proceeds going back into the organization to help local artists
Executive Director of Good-City Community Development, Faith Cornell stated, “So, we do raise money of equipment to help us purchase supplies. We are right now an entirely new organization. And so all of our fundraising goes directly to expenses. So, whether that is, buying supplies, paying any type of, everyday expenses for us.”
Since the event is at the Colony Square Mall. You can take advantage by dropping off your gifts while you shop or you can purchase a gift, and have it giftwrapped before you get home!
You can either drop your gifts here with us and come back and pick them up, do more shopping or take a rest, or you can hang out with us. There’s plenty of seating and, we would like. We’d love that. Well, it’s I mean, it’s the core of our mission. A good city is getting arts opportunities out to those who wouldn’t normally be able to engage with those and the benefits, just being able to be creative there. You know, so many studies have been done of all the just enormous benefits, not even just for artists, but for just people in general,” Board member Misty Johston added.
If you missed out don’t worry! Good city Creatives Community Development Corporation plans to host this event the next few Saturdays before Christmas at Colony Square Mall.
