Holly Houk

Holly Ann Houk, 64 of Crooksville, Ohio, passed away October 29, 2023, at her residence, following an extended illness.
She was born on December 23, 1958, in Zanesville, Ohio, to the late Bert Lawyer and Geneva “Jenny” Simmons.
Holly was a Christian by faith, a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother, and loyal friend to many. She was a bookkeeper, public accountant, and the former owner and operator of Curt & Holly’s Snack Bar.
Holly leaves to cherish her memory, 3 sons: Shane (Rachel) Peterson, Andrew Peterson, and Scott (Erica) Houk; 2 daughters: Ronda Lawyer and Shannon Peterson; 7 grandchildren: Ava, Grayson, Tehya, Asia, Ashley, River, and Landon; 2 brothers: Gary Simmons and Eddie Simmons; 2 sisters: Melanie Miller and Joyce Gleason; special nieces, Susan Riggs and Shellie Anderson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Holly is preceded in death by her parents; late husband of 24 years, Curtis “Curt” Houk; son, Dustin Houk; brother, Gary Lawyer; sisters, Judy Boling, Janet Butcher, Carole Browning, and Shirley Waliszewsk.
Calling hours will be held on Monday November 6, 2023, from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Ross-Frash Funeral Home, 207 Burley Street Crooksville, Ohio. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday November 7, 2023, at 11:00 AM with Mark Caton officiating.
