Holly Voltz Named ‘Josephine Phillips Health Care Award’ Recipient in 2016

The Women of Achievement recipients have been chosen for 2016 and Marketing and Media Relations Manager Holly Voltz will take home the ‘Josephine Phillips Health Care Award’ this year.

An Ohio native, Voltz moved to the Y-City with her family as a young girl. She went on to earn her Master’s Degree at the University of Findlay and she’s worked with the Genesis Health Care System for 16 years. She said she’s proud of what she’s been able to accomplish in the health care field in a community she cares for so much.

"They have such great hearts," said Voltz. "[They are] giving people, salt of the earth type people and just do amazing things. It’s just something I’d love to share stories about, the amazing things I hear that people in our community do. It’s a very great place to be, to live."

Much like the award’s namesake, Josephine Phillips, Voltz finds herself behind the scenes creating fun and creative ways to get people excited about health. One program, ‘The Spirit of Women’ has grown from a good idea to a 4,000 member strong cause that provides locals with a chance to learn about health care and have fun doing it.

"I think that’s one of my things that I really feel proud about and being able to develop that type of engagement is something that from a marketing standpoint that’s always been one of the things I really love to work with, is developing programs that engage," said Voltz.

Voltz said she’s not only honored to receive her award but honored to see all the women being recognized this year.
